Samsung excels in providing Android updates, surpassing Google’s Pixel phones in terms of OS upgrades and timely monthly updates. Now, Samsung seems poised to surpass expectations with an early release of One UI 6 based on Android 14.

With the One UI 5 beta program commencing in early August and stable rollout starting in late October, Samsung managed to release it almost two months after Google’s stable version of Android 13. The company had promised to be even faster with Android 14, and it seems they are on track to fulfill this commitment.

Recent reports indicated that Samsung has been internally testing One UI 6 for its top three phones: the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Z Fold 4, and Flip 4.

According to information shared by Twitter leaker @dohyun854, who obtained it from the South Korean blog Naver, the Galaxy S23 series is set to receive the beta version of Android 14. The One UI 6 beta is expected to be available in mid-July.

The leaked information also suggests that the stable version of Android 14 will be released in October.

Considering the earlier start of the beta program compared to last year, it is speculated that the stable version rollout will commence in early October.

Based on Google’s release pattern for Android 13, it is likely that the official version of Android 14 will be released in August.

Android 14 will introduce several new features, including enhanced management of background apps to reduce frequent termination, partial screen recording for apps, the ability to transfer content between apps without opening them first, the ability to save app pairs for faster multitasking, and more options for customizing the lock screen.
